NMYCA Post Residential Phase
24 Months of Support
The Post Residential Phase or PRAP is the 24 months directly following a Cadets Graduation from the New Mexico National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Academy Residential Phase. During PRAP, Cadets return to their homes and keep in monthly contact with their assigned NMYCA Case Manager. The NMYCA Case Manager tracks the Cadets progress from Day 1 of the Residential Phase and all throughout the 24 Month Post Residential Phase. Cadets and their Case Manager keep in contact through MentorPro.
The support Case Managers provide reinforces life and job skills cadets learned during the Residential Phase and acts as a catalyst to personal growth and achievement. Case Managers help guide and counsel the cadet as they begin the transition into adulthood.
MentorPro
Case Managers and Cadets keep in contact via the MentorPro App.
Cadets can login via the Mentor Pro Web Portal or download the app available via the App Store and Google Play Store.
Case Managers
Case Managers play a large role in the success of the cadet. From Day 1 of the Residential Phase and all throughout the Post Residential Phase, Case Managers are responsible for teaching goal setting, and helping cadets identify and implement a plan for their future. Once cadets graduate, Case Managers, with the help of parents, track and record cadet progress and make sure they stick to their goals during the year long Post Residential Phase (P-RAP).
