Orientations
Attending an orientation is a required step in the NMYCA application process. However, all are welcome—whether you’ve applied or just want to learn more about what we do.
Orientations are offered both in person across New Mexico and virtually through Microsoft Teams.
If you’ve already submitted an application, be sure to attend an orientation to receive credit for this step.

Orientation Schedule
How to join a Virtual Orientation on Microsoft Teams
- To join an upcoming virtual orientation, simply click the “Teams” link next to your chosen date in the schedule above, or use the “Join Orientation” button below the schedule.
- All virtual sessions use the same Microsoft Teams link—so you can use it for any date you choose to attend.
- If you RSVP, you’ll receive a confirmation email that includes the meeting link and helpful details.
- You can join the orientation directly in your web browser, or download the free Microsoft Teams app to your device for the best experience.
Joining the Microsoft Teams Meeting

When you click the Teams link to join the orientation, a pop-up window will appear—similar to the image shown on the right.
- Simply enter your name and click “Join now.”
- You’ll be placed in a virtual waiting room, and the meeting Host will let you in shortly.
- That’s it—you’re in!
